BIB Heusden-Zolder (BE) 2014
Public Art Commission 2012 - 2014, design for 82 glass panels for the renovated library building, in collaboration with DMT Architects, Antwerp (BE)
Commissioned by the city council to develop artworks for the glass panels. Icons and pictograms used for genre designation in the book world were a source of inspiration and starting point for the designs. Separate designs for each of the 82 glass panels; together showing a collection of over 1200 existing and self-designed icons and pictograms. The icons are interspersed with poetic and evocative sentences from the favourite books of the library staff.
